Last night, Friday May 19, 2023, The Plectrums had the honour of performing at the picturesque Loch Green House Hotel in Troon. As one of Scotland's premier wedding bands, we have performed at this venue on many occasions before and we were thrilled to be invited back to this magnificent property, known for its stunning grounds and spectacular setting. For Nikos, our frontman, the performance at Loch Green held a special place in his heart. It was a nostalgic experience for him, as he had previously graced the same venue during his brother's wedding. The memory of singing the beloved classic 'Sweet Caroline' accompanied by the renowned wedding musician Andy Lucas still resonated with him, making this return even more meaningful.

A Night to Remember with Iona and Sean:
Well, it simply wouldn't have been a wedding without a bride and groom. Last night it was Iona and Sean, a genuinely lovely couple, who chose us to be a part of their magical day. We can't thank Iona and Sean enough for choosing The Plectrums to be a part of their celebrations. It was an absolute blast, and we genuinely loved creating a vibrant atmosphere that had everyone on their feet all evening. From the moment we took the stage, the dance floor was filled with guests eager to let loose and celebrate. With Sean's Irish roots, we even had a little taste of Ireland in the form of some Irish dancing. Also, we couldn't help but notice that Guinness was the drink of choice among the men last night. Usually, it is lager, but it soon dawned on us that the Irish team were on hand!
Overall, the energy in the room was infectious, and it was evident that everyone had a fantastic time. But, it wasn't just about the music. Our goal was to create an atmosphere of excitement and happiness. We wanted to set the stage for an unforgettable celebration and judging by the smiles on Iona and Sean's faces as they danced together, we're pretty confident that we succeeded.
